Jessika Roswall, the European Commissioner for the Environment, paid an official visit to the Razzett tal-Bagħal farmhouse in Buskett, which is administered by the Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK). The Commissioner was accompanied by Minister Clint Camilleri.

During the visit, FKNK officials explained the history of Buskett and the farmhouse, including its use as a stable for the Knights of Malta's horses in the 16th century. They also explained the site's current role as an environmental education and conservation centre run by the FKNK. Various major FKNK projects were also presented, including the reintroduction of barn owls into the wild, the indigenous tree and shrub nursery, the captive breeding of turtle doves for release into the wild, and the internationally acclaimed publication Game Recipes from Malta, a copy of which was presented to the Commissioner. Following this, the Commissioner was served one of the recipes from the book, inspired by a 1598 recipe: Pastizz tal-Fenek.

In a symbolic act to commemorate the visit, a barn owl that hatched during the visit was named Roswall.
The importance of hunters and trappers in conserving biodiversity, managing natural habitats and collecting scientific data was also highlighted during the visit.
The FKNK thanks the European Commissioner and the Minister for their visit and reiterates its commitment to the conservation and sustainable use of natural renewable resources.
