Our Vision
FKNK - 48 years of history
The Federation for Hunting and Conservation - Malta
(FKNK) has always been the pioneer as the voice of the
Maltese and Gozitan hunter and trapper. Established
on 17 September 1973 as the National Association of
Hunters and Trappers with the main aim of preserving
the socio-cultural traditions of hunting and trapping in
the context of conservation of the natural environment.
Although times change this remains the main goal to
this day.
Culture
"The crucial differences which distinguish human societies and human beings are not biological. They are cultural."
Our Vision
Sustainability - Conservation - Communication
Sustainability
"We need to ensure that what we are practicing is sustainable, that is, that it can withstand."
Conservation
“Hunting is not just the taking of birds from a wild population, but a year-round activity for the conservation and management of their habitat.”
Communication
"The strength and unity of every organization lies in its Members. Communication is the key to delivering a message as well as listening to and understanding the other party’s message."
Inclusive Society
"As we pioneered schools’ visits, we will ensure that
this continues. We will continue to work to enable our
children and the future generation to recognize the
truth and facts about our practices."
