The Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK) has expressed its satisfaction following its successful participation in the third AgriFair, which took place from 17th to 19th April 2026 at the Ta' Qali complex. This was the second consecutive time that the FKNK had taken part.
Following popular demand from last year, the FKNK once again offered food inspired by the 16th-century recipe for rabbit pastizzi, which were served throughout the three-day Fair. The pastizzi were greatly appreciated by the many visitors to the FKNK stand. This initiative further strengthened the cultural and gastronomic campaign linked to the Mid-Dura għall-Kċina concept, which was broadcasted on TVM's national station earlier this year. The campaign was accompanied by the publication Game Recipes from Malta, which won the global award for the best game recipe book of 2025.

During the fair, the FKNK also took part in various other activities, including live cooking sessions in collaboration with the Malta Food Agency and its chef. These sessions promoted the use of game meat in modern, sustainable gastronomy.
The FKNK would like to thank the public, as well as the various other influential figures, including Her Excellency the President of Malta, Myriam Spiteri Debono, for visiting the stand and showing their interest, engaging in constructive conversations, and providing continued support during these three days.
Additionally, and once again, the FKNK supported the Malta Chefs Society in the Malta Culinary Competition by sponsoring the 'Mystery Box' category based on game meat.

Special thanks also go to the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights and the Directorate responsible for events for their organisation and support, as well as to all the volunteers, particularly the KRPE members, whose efforts contributed to the success of the FKNK's participation.
