The Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK) announces that the programme Mid-Dura għall-Kċina has successfully concluded its first season on TVM, with a total of 13 episodes.
This project represents a historic moment for the FKNK, as for the first time a television production was broadcast on a national station placing at its core local identity, traditions, and the relationship between people, biodiversity, and gastronomy.
Throughout these episodes, the programme delivered authentic stories from our community, through interviews with individuals who live and embrace these traditions. The FKNK wishes to express its gratitude to all those who contributed and shared their personal experiences, which together formed a sincere and representative narrative of our cultural heritage.
Special thanks also go to all the chefs who participated in the programme, who through their creativity succeeded in presenting culinary experiences linked to the sustainable use of game.
The FKNK also thanks the entire production team – including the presenter, camerapersons, post-production team, and all those involved in coordination – for their professionalism and dedication, which resulted in a high-quality production. Special thanks also go to the Ministry for Gozo and Planning for its support in bringing this programme to fruition.
Finally, the FKNK expresses its appreciation to TVM for the trust shown in allowing this programme to be broadcast at a national level.
The FKNK remains committed to continuing its work in promoting Maltese cultural heritage, conservation, and the values that unite our community.
