On behalf of its long-standing Brussels partners FACE (European Federation for Hunting and Conservation - 37 years) and ELO (European Landowners Organisation - 16 years), the Federation for Hunting and Conservation - Malta (FKNK) has invited all six Maltese Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to two events to be held at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The first event, hosted by MEP Juan Ignacio Zoido, is entitled "Dialogue on the Future of Europe's Countryside: Sustainable Land Use, Hunting and Nature Conservation" and will be organised in cooperation with FACE and ELO. The event will invite MEPs and key stakeholders to an open dialogue on the re-establishment of the Intergroup "Biodiversity, Hunting and Countryside". The event will stimulate discussion on the pressing challenges and priorities for the 2024-2029 parliamentary term. The event also aims to promote cross-party political cooperation on critical issues such as nature conservation, wildlife management, sustainable hunting and land use.
The second event, hosted by MEP Alex Agius Saliba, is entitled "Reception: Hunting and Conservation - Key Priorities for the Next Five Years" and will be organised in cooperation with FACE on 25 September 2024 on the occasion of the FACE General Assembly. At the start of the 2024-2029 parliamentary term, this meeting will address key priorities for sustainable hunting and conservation. In addition to MEPs, FACE members, including officials from FKNK, the European Commission and other NGOs, are invited to exchange views on how to improve the European framework to promote sustainable hunting and conservation.
