With reference to the joy and happiness that BirdLife Malta is currently experiencing, since once again they have managed to instigate the European Commission to open a Case against the Maltese Government in the European Court of Justice, this time because of the trappers’ research programme that was carried out in the last three years, the Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK), which from the very beginning fully supported the research programme, is promising that in full consultation with FACE (European Federation for Hunting and Conservation), the FKNK will again offer all its resources and full support, including its technical and legal expertise, to the Maltese Government, even on behalf of the thousands of its trapper members.
This is being said since a delegation of Officials from the FKNK Council, who have just returned from participating in three FACE meetings held in Germany, also discussed this latest threat from the Commission in these meetings. In the coming days, the FKNK will supply more details regarding this situation, also to keep its trapper members updated.
