The huge carob tree that can be seen in the first photo attached, of who knows how many hundreds if not thousands of years, was destroyed forever (second photo) to make room for the building of an apartments' block!
The Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK) is speechless when it is aware of the hard labour and financial burden hunters and trappers undertake to plant trees which take eight to ten years to get to the state when they may be appreciated!
Man does not inherit the world from his ancestors, but borrows it from his children.
