Body-cams to be used Only by Police Officers

In two separate meetings held by a delegation from the Federation for Hunting and Conservation - Malta (FKNK) with the Commissioner for Data Protection, Ian Deguara, and the Minister for Justice and the Reform of the Construction Sector, the Honourable Jonathan Attard, the FKNK was informed that the only persons authorised to use Body-cams are police officers.

The FKNK therefore advises its members that if they are approached by any person, including a representative of an NGO or any other constituted official body, who is not a police officer and who is 'wearing' a Body-cam, whether in use or not, are encouraged to file a complaint with the Office for Information and Data Protection Commissioner.
